hi have been and bought a replacement double glazed pane to go into a pvc frame, have removed external beading and found a small steel clip holding glass, in some kind of security clip i think.

how do i remove this? cant find much info online.

do i need a special tool?

Do the windows have a white gasket ? If so they are staybrite , what you need to do is have someone on the inside also, the person out side pushes the glass back and the person on the inside uses a scraper or something thin to push the clip down and it then can be pulled out form the outside

That white gasket might be a light shade of pink now.
