Hi folks..new here and would be grateful for some technical advice please.

Fixing a 5*3 Sapele post to the butt end of a 9" brick wall which is constrcted of lightweight modular (old) brick. The post will be the end post for a metal and glass balustrade, so needs to be secure. It will extend 4feet above the top of the wall, to take the balustrade

I'm not sure which type of hex bolt to use. Dont want n expanding bolt as it may wall be too much for the wall to cope with. Will a simple zinc plated coach bolt be ok or do I go for steel masonary bolts which I cant seem to find with hex heads. 200*M10 seems right.

Comments and advice welcome. Thank you

What about thunder bolts? I've used these and they are great. Just make sure you use the correct drill bit size as advised on the packet
