Hi everyone

I am ready to decorate my bathroom and have got Dulux Bathroom + for the walls.

The walls are currently painted with dulux bathroom paint in white and i will be using white again.

Since there is a sheen on my walls already and the bathroom + emulsion has a sheen, can I paint it directly onto my walls or do i have to cover the sheen thats already there first?

Sorry to sound dumb but I have no clue what to do

kath

Just go over the walls with some 120 sandpaper and then paint it as normal. No need for any undercoats

Ah great thanks for that. I was worried that putting a sheen paint on a sheen paint, it might just slide around on the wall

If I put on 2 coats of the new dulux bathroom + white, do i have to sandpaper between the 2 coats also or can i just put the second coat straight on?

I would be one of those people! It's very sticky so hard to roll out smoothly.

I am really dreading trying to use it. I've got some really rough sand paper so am sanding the walls in the bathroom before i start trying to use it. the walls have a sheen on them so thought it best to try and take the sheen down a bit first

Really wish they didn't sell that awful paint. It is just soft sheen in a different tin. Would be so much easier to just sell the proper stuff and tell the staff to recommend it when people want to paint the bathroom
