 Post subject: Removing tap cover

I am trying to repair a sink mixer tap. I have removed the lever, but do not know how to remove the cover. Normally I would expect it to unscrew, but this is curved where it meets the tap body. There appears to be no grub screw holding it, so perhaps it is a push fit, but I do not wish to use brute force until I know what I am doing.

If you look at the link I posted to the taps there's one of a similar type where the instructions say the shroud unscrews.
There are tips on how to unscrew the shrouds on the thread too.
