Hi,

I am planning to run electric armoured cable to a detached garage,
Is there a minimum or correct height above the ground when running the cable along the outside of the house?

Thanks

Bob

Hi Bob, will the cable be suspended at any point to reach the garage? That will be the determining factor, as will the span.

On side of house no, as an aerial wire yes. With farms it's at least 6 meters, but seem to remember it varies foot paths do not need it to be as high as roads. I seem to remember 3.5 meters.
