I'm after a bulk supply of nails, 4-inch, 5-inch and 6-inch.

Small packets of 500g (whatever the hell that means in quantity is anyone's guess :dunno: ) are easily come by, Toolstation etc but where would I go to get a LARGE quantity at reasonable prices?

I'm talking a bag of 500 (each size) - I have no idea what this means in WEIGHT (anyone enlighten me?) but I'd be seeking a decent discount at these quantities so is there any place you know that does a good deal?

Galvanised or plain? Ring or smooth?
Usually on site(rarely they are used tbh due to nail guns)they are seen in 25kg boxes. I'm not sure on what amount that equates too tho.

Try tradefixdirect.

Or any architectural ironmongers for that matter. So in this neck of the woods that would probably mean Mercers in Blackburn, Fixings North West in Sale, Cookson Hardware in Stockport, K-Supplies in Rossendale, CTS in Halifax, Abbey Architectural in Rochdale, etc. These guys pretty much all deliver by van within a range of 30 to 40 miles of any of their (multiple in most cases) depots, sometimes more. Current projecct we are buying-in from Hertings in London (who offer a national delivery service - but may be account only) and Avantifix in Leeds. Both are willing to source anything which isn't on their standard price list, too. As Stevie says nails come in 25kg boxes although we do sometimes get them by weighed bag (sold in kgs)

Have a look at this site http://www.tradefixdirect.com/galvanise ... 0-x-4.50mm

I have used them in the past for some bits and they seemed fair on price. At least you can get an idea of costs for 25kg :thumbright:

fin - that's where I used to go! Occasionally went to the place in Frederick Street and got them by the 'handful/bagful' as they sold them loose.

Never heard of tradefixdirect (not being 'in the trade' as you know) but they seem to be the kind of prices I would expect so I'll give them a shot - thanks peeps.
