Just a reminder to anyone who is in the North of England that the annual "North of England Woodworking & Power Tool Show" will be on between the 18th and 20th of November, or just over two weeks time, in Hall 1, Great Yorkshire Showroom, Harrogate, HG2 8QZ (directions here). Never been myself, but this year I may be in Harrogate to do a quick one day (?) kitchen worktop replacement for a colleague, so I may opt to stop over and take a look (providing that the job comes off and that it really is a one day job). Anyone care to comment on how good/bad the show is? Discounts? etc, etc

OK, I'm an "old school" chippie, so please don't ask me to do a bodge job - I didn't bring my horse today and in any case you don't seem to have a hitching rail!

me and speed talked about this. we went to the tool fair at the same place earlier this year. was a nightmare as i didnt leave south shields till almost 1 oclock. then the sat nav in my car started being a total d*ck and telling me to go the wrong way. then i hit traffic.

depending on work i may be up for it.

me and speed did the festool show in halifax last week. i had some stuff to pick up off him. shame there isnt some actual propper northern shows instead of having an 80 mile plus drive down south for me to go to them
