Same here I'd line around both internal and external.

That's interesting. I usually line to the corners then caulk. I'd be worried about the walls being out and having to splice every time.

Benj

EDIT: Realised that because i'll be cross lining i'll have to stop at internals, otherwise i'd need a hell of a piece to circle the whole room!!!!

It's ages since I lined a whole room, I used to line into corners tear the paper about an 1" past, then start again as level as possible.

I am going back 30 years or more, when we had to cut a strip off one or both sides of wallpaper.

Thats more or less what I do with LP, but with the external corners, specially if they are out.

I paper up to the external corner, then tear all the way down just on the corner, so you have that tear/ragged effect all the way down, then when dry, sand the torn edge, and then feather the edge with filler, when dry, gently sand, then paint, now you have a lovely sharp corner edge :-)

instead of drop lining it just cross line it much easier to do, always line to a internal corner and caulk. i always prefer to cross line, i think it makes a better job and much quicker

I think krispy was asking about external corners, most decs caulk the internal corners, sometimes I do, sometimes I dont, depends what mood I am in.
