I had Hitatchi years ago and at time was very good quality. shame an office removal nobber nicked it.

Shows how long ago it was, I am sure it was 12volt and that was most powerful battery drill you could get.

Jeese royaloak what are you a pyramid builder... Just kidding mate that was years ago tho. @ diyguys why would you by the hitachi's there not much cop these days & pretty big, if you want decent small li-ion tools the best ive used so far are the milwaukee range & the other best small li-ion is the bosch multi tool thats just a fantastic bit of kit.

It does seem that a lot of the well known makes have gone done in quality,bosch seems the way to go :dunno:

Was that like the first makita cordless drill ,but you didnt have a removable batt?
