I seen that exact AEG drill on one of those shopping channels for a lot less than screwfix price.

Here you go. A lot cheaper than screwfix.

http://www.qvcuk.com/ukqic/qvcapp.aspx/ ... 1-_-562393.

-- Sun May 02, 2010 10:44 pm --

Only comes with one battery.

Maybe not a good deal then.

I have an 240v AEG drill, must be older than Stoday, Nah that's silly, must be 40 years though and still working. General fixing used to supply them.

Actually I may have a 110v as well, have to have a dig around.

in general the ryobi green are identical to the blue performance and price wise
i would wait a few weeks and i think people will start selling the blue stuff off cheaper :thumbright:
i have already bought a new blue one plus random orbit sander and a spiral saw for less than £20 each off e bay including postage [14+5]when the normal price is around 3 times that :thumbright:

if you mean this offer
http://www.screwfix.com/prods/47418/Pow ... r?ts=37955
the drill batteries are old nicads at 1.5 ah but still a good deal

I would not get either of those at those prices.

If you just want a simple drill/driver without hammer action then I'd get this one, which is 14.4v and is made by makita with 3 batteries and 30 min charger-

site 14.4v drill

Why not push the boat out and get a 18v dewalt combi with li-ion-

Dewalt 18v combi

The 18v is almost identical to the one in this video-
