Looking to fit a Magnaclean but have just been reading about the Fernox TF1. Anyone fitted it or know if it's any good.

Not seen it before, looks like a cross between Magnaclean and spiro.

Without a doubt I would go with the Magnaclean.

I have examined the fernax thingy and I personally cannot see how it will be as effective as a magnaclean.

The spirovent is a well engineered product, but from experience the miniscule amount it can collect in the 'waste' area is a waste of time.

Have fitted a few TF1 now as we have just changed over from Magnaclean.

Very easy to fit in both horizontal and vertical pipes. much easier to clean too as you don't need to take it apart. one issue was that you couldn't fit it with flow down pipes or vertical right to left. They will though send you a conversion kit if you contact them (we have had to take some in stock as this can be a pain when you turn up and it wont go) They claim to be putting these in the box soon. Lets wait and see...

Magnaclean is a good bit of kit, but for my money the TF1 is better.
