Hi all, first post! :hello2:

I want to change my bathroom, dimension is 12ft by 8ft, current drawing on the left and what I plan to do on the right...

Image

The building regs for drainage say that the maximum distance between an appliance and the foul water drain is 3m for 40mm pipe and 4m for 50mm pipe.

Is this a maximum or a recommended maximum?

My sink currently has a 7m run in 40mm pipe to the foul drain and glugs for ages when it is emptying I assume because the run is too long?

Likewise if I put the shower in as proposed it is going to be about a 6m run.

Advice please! :help:

2" will be ok provided you can get a fall into the vertical stack, and not the wc outlet as shown.

You should also fit an auto air admittance valve near the tray.

Thanks scruff, and yes the wc pipe goes into the stack separately from the sink/bath pardon my sketchy sketch. :-)
