I've just come back from No1 Daughters, she has had a leak from some pipework she had repaired under insurance.

Called them back because a damp patch appeared in another room.
Alas, this is a different leak which is coming from the cwst, it appears at first glance to have had an attempted repair with what looks like Araldite on a small split.

Then she tells me they noticed a previous stain on the ceiling in this room before they painted it.

The tank looks similar to this

I have told her to get quotes, before I decide to go further.

Didn't have any tools or torch except for Granddaughters 'wind up Pig',
I am not impressed with the state of the plumbing in this 18 yr old house, I repaired a leak in their CH 10mm pipe which looked to have been 'butt joined' at a connector no sign of solder in the 'T' piece.

I told her I consider it would cost about £300 for a plumber, then she tells me her excess on the insurance is £250, with her being a solicitor I was surprised she signed up for it.

I'll have to have a look with a proper light sometime.

John
