Wondering what the rules are for the following:

Installation of Gas Boiler in New Build - is there any regulations re having a CO detector fitted if Boiler is fitted in:
a) Kitchen
b) Bedroom

Does it differ depending on the type of Boilers and the flue arrangements?
Boilers installed are WB Greenstar 30Si ones; Flues are horizonal

You hear about dodgy holiday apartments in Spain or Greece where a gas water Heater is fitted in a room and people go off to sleep at night and never get to wake up

There is no regulation stating you need a CO detector for any domestic gas appliance.

In the case of the Greenstar, this is a room sealed boiler so as long as it has been installed correctly there should be no need to worry about CO at all.
