hi there and thanks for the reply!

literally as you look at the back of the switch it reads (from left to right) L1 L2 and then L1 L2 on the second module...there is nothing else,no more 'L' no 'C' no 'common' nothing!!
Being that I got them off the net im assuming they are foreign and they won't work on our type of wiring, the house has been re-wired this month so everything is up to date but the electrician has finished and i don't really want to pay him again (i know thats tight)!

That sounds more like a double pole switch rather than a light switch can you take a pic of it so we can confirm

Hi paul

They are currently down my other house at the moment but i will definitely upload a pic ASAP! They came in boxes stating they were light switches, also stating they could be used as 1 or 2 gang, it said nothing on the instructions about being just 1 way but on the advert it said they were 2 way switches! Ive just been on the website www.suntruth.com and they are the switches I bought, for anyone who wants to help its the stainless steel touch range!

Thanks again guys for the help I really appreciate it!

Yep it looks a bit like that,it has 2 modules on the rear side by side and the L1 L2 are simply side by side, so if it is an intermidiate switch im guessing it will only control a simple light and not for example a landing light which has a switch upstairs and downstairs?

It's an intermediate works as a third switch between two, two ways.
Best bet is to get swapped for a two way
