I'm after a new drill driver - want to spend about £50 - £60 and have found quite a few by Marksman. Not had any of these before, are they any good?

Looking for something fairly heavy duty / light trade use.

dunno but i honestly wouldnt have thought so.. sounds like market stall rubbish...

spend another 30 quid and you get a makita 12v with 2 batteries (plenty man enough, will put 4" screws in all day long) and a free 240v rotostop sds drill...
or the other way round .. buy a new sds drill for 90 quid and get a free 12v drill driver...

best deal ive seen in years..

im having one when ive fixed the bloomin van ::b

I had looked at the Ryobi gear in teh Machinemart cataloge - might have to give it a go next time - just managed to get a nice Dewalt one with 2 batt's off of eBay for £50 so I'm chuffed with that.

The ryobi kit as shown has only 1.4Ah batteries which are ok but dont last too long between charges and remember with lithium batteries they just stop working without warning when they go flat. Try Ryobi direct on the web drill with 2x 2.4Ah battery £159 less 10% web discount and stuff like a angle drill and 4" grinder £39 each less the 10%. all inc vat and free postage over £100

I have used them and they are spot on.

I bought 24v marksman drill, thinking it would do to throw about for the odd hole. Terrible thing, lasted a couple of months tops.

This also seems quite a good deal especially if you've got a 10% off voucher as well
