I've been asked to go on the school trip to the London Eye and the British Museum. I wondered how long the London Eye takes to complete a revolution. Is it good?

I wonder whether they'll get all 50 of us in one pod?

I just found it. The trouble is that we'll have youngsters with rucksacs full of food for the day and bags are not allowed on over a certain size and food is not allowed either. I think I'll be chatting to staff tomorrow.

I stayed in a hotel not too far from the 'Eye' earlier this year and it's an awesome sight!

Sick of the sight of the bloody thing, been driving past it twice a day for
the last six months
Think it only lasts about 45mins and very expensive
Ask Simpleplumb he's been on it, think thats the day they made a loss
when they had to take it out of service to fumigate one of the pods

you might get about 25-30 in a pod, but website will let you know, they more than likely have a room for school visits where stuff can be left and its takes about 40 mins and on a good day the view is brilliant.

The children are in years 5/6, so they're excited. The helpers are too!

The school should have done a risk assessment and if they don't know how many kids in each pod together with adult/child ratio then they shouldn't be going. London Eye will also be used to school trips so they will tell you the numbers.
I went last year with the missus....last minute booking on a Saturday, a champagne flight just as the sun was setting over London....a major achievement considering the summer we had last year!

Everything has been evaluated, assessed and booked by the Head teacher, we also have enough adult helpers to children.
I'm only going as a CRB holding member of staff and I'll have my own group to look after. I've never been to the London Eye and have no idea how many people they hold, it was only built after I moved away from London.
We'll be getting a briefing the day before, everyone is far too busy at the moment getting ready for the end of year school production.

We're going tomorrow, 7am start from school. I'll take some pics of the views. We're also off to see the Egyptian and Greek stuff at the British Museum.

We had a great time yesterday. The views from the London Eye were good, even though the sky was partly cloudy. The British museum was interesting but too hot. Tourists kept asking me why I was with a group of school children in uniform, when they were all off already. We break up on Wednesday.
