A few pics from the pod. Not great as my daughter took them.

Sounds like you had a good time.

I went about 12 months ago.

We did the Champagne trip (so no kids) so it was very relaxed and not crowded. The pod in front of us was occupied by a couple and when they got to the top he got down on one knee.....which I videoed....all the women in our pod were going 'arggghhhh', the blokes were along the lines of 'fool'

Skiking,

Your pictures are great, I think it must be stunning at night, our pictures just captured a memory for an 8 and 10 year old!

A couple and entourage must have just had a wedding in one when we went as they headed out of the pod as we arrived. I was in a pod with 23 children, so it was a mixture of great views and trying to stop them leaning on the doors! I think it's pricey though if you go as a family at £12 adult and £6 child. I went free as a "teacher". Someone said they were going to remove it soon, no idea if that's true.

remove it? The wheel, you mean? nah :?

Supposedly, on a really clear day, you can make out St Albans Cathedral, which would be about 25 miles due North.

It rained when we were there. The kids were more impressed by the street artists dressed top to toe in gold, silver and blue and a bloke that balanced on a bed of nails and juggled!

now wouldn't that have been a shock if we had bumped into you down there. i never read this on Thurs night because we were packing some stuff up. just spent Fri, Sat n Sun down there.

did all sorts of stuff but the one thing we never got time for was going on the Eye. later i'll get some pics sorted. i got one that nobody else would ever have thought of taking a picture of

we stayed near Buckingham Palace but you could still see it still from our bedroom window..about 11pm i think it was but you can see it was lit blue.

Lou, you say you saw the Egyptians stuff at the museum, did you not go to the O2 and see Tutankhamun  it was amazing (if you are into that sort of history thing)

Rich,

That would have been funny if we'd have met up there. Did Sue enjoy it? We went to the British Museum, which was full of tourists. They have a dedicated area for school parties in the basement, so we had our lunch there. It's gorgeous inside. We were comparing mummies and looking at the artwork that they'd studied in class.

I'd have loved to see the Tutankhamun exhibit. I bet it's stunning. You should post the pics.

I was amazed by the number of coffee bars and sushi restaurants around the place. It's changed so much since I last visited.
I was glad to get back to Derbyshire though, a much slower and more scenic place.

if we had seen you down there you can be sure we would have gone in the other ....erm i mean come over and said hello

i got a few pics but none of Tutankhamun, no cameras or phones were allowed :cb
i actually forgot to turn my phone on silent mode and my ringtone "PACMAN" went off loudly as somebody decided to ring me while we were inside. everybody turned and glared at me.

Sue loved it. she has never been to London and she is 40 this Thurs so i took her and the kids down for a few days. i can't beleive i am going to say this here but...i gave her a present early... she has always wanted to go to the theatre to see Grease so i bought those tickets about 4 months ago. picadilly theatre. had that Ray out of Xfactor in it. they all loved it. ill do pics l8r cos they have to be resized to fit on here.

That wheel is one impressive piece of engineering!

It would of been funny if Louise and Rich had bumped into each other in London. I wonder who would of thought they had a stalker first
