its almost that time of year when the 3rd round of the fa cup is drawn. and potential meetings of little clubs with big premier league clubs.

locally we have gateshead fc and blyth spartans fc in the 3rd round. obviously joined by both newcastle united and sinderland afc.

today i was out with my family for a sunday dinner. and on the next table sat the turnbull twins. one of them plays for blyth spartans. the other for gateshead. they were in my younger brothers class at school. they had people coming up asking them about who they wanted to play next and apart from the obvious the gateshead player had said hed like to draw chelsea. it would be typical of the fa cup if blyth and gateshead draw each other or it gets set up for a north east derby between either nufc or sunderland.

the blyth player had people coming to him to congratulate him for his goal v hartlepool aswel. good that local footballs doing ok in the fa cup around here
