Can't figure out how to swap the strimmer head for a brush cutter head on my Tanaka. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if it's similar to my JCB one but just so you know the head is a reverse thread.

Any help?
There's a slot somewhere on the head to take an allen key to lock the gearbox.
As Argyll says, they're a left hand thread (or at least the ones I've seen have been). You turn it the opposite way to a "normal" thread to loosen it (and tighten it)
You'll need the nut, washer and split pins etc. to install a blade. Some machines need a different guard as well.

Thanks I've got those already. Pretty poor diagram which tbh doesn't look too much like my strimmer. Thanks anyway, I'll figure it out I expect
