Bought new tv last night, and along with the package I got the Panasonic SC-HTB208 soundbar.

Having connected it all up I AM quite impressed with it over the standard tv sound.

My thoughts now are turning to what else I can do to improve the sound quality, and have the idea of maybe 2 more speakers, that sit on the floor on either side of my couch, which would hopefully give the impression of sound coming from back to the front...........if thats possible?
I dont want to have wires all over the place so looking to see if anybody would know if speakers can attach via bluetooth, and is there such speakers available which would incorporate the sound bar I just obtained??
I'm living myself, in a semi-detached so dont really want next door to think they would be at the cinema too!!

Thanks guys, in advance, and other ideas/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Have you heard of Google, Amazon (for the reviews) and the interweb in general, to do your own research?

I think you will find, do not bark up the wrong tree, that the bluetooth functionality of this and other soundbars is for them to RECEIVE input from other devices, such as your smartphone, & NOT to output sound to extra speakers.

It is possible to buy WIRELESS extra speakers, which do not need speaker cables laid from the TV location - however they are not truly 'wire-less' as they invariably need to be plugged in to a power supply (albeit on the other side of the room) and often need to be wired to the subwoofer.

If I was in your situation I would investigate, at somewhere like Richer Sounds where you can test, the best quality headphones I could afford, then crank up the volume without disturbing the neighbours!

Take the soundbar back, then shell out for a proper surround system with wireless rear speakers, there are plenty out there - go for one that is the same make as your tv, the remote controls will probably then be compatible, doing away with one of them.

Or stick with what you have, it will be a vast improvement over the tv without the bar, try disconnecting it to test.
