On a slightly related note to the Allcoat thread, I did a set of old sash windows in Allcoat (white) with no issues at all. Great opacity, good re-coat time and stayed pretty workable, even in the heat.

Superdec (white) for another set of windows, on the other hand, had shockingly bad opacity and this 16-hour recoat time just baffle me. Not sure why the white Superdec is this way, as any colours I've used were fine.

One to avoid I'd say. :salute:

Just done some windows in the white gloss (Superdec) - gave a great finish, needs to be built up but I like the stuff.

Not keen on the Allcoat so much now unless it's a bigger areas.

Drying times are a pain but I'm in no rush tbh.

Allcoat is also better priced.

I'm sure I read a while ago that they changed the formula for superdec and that lots of painters were saying that the coverage with the white isn't as good as it used to be.

Probably a reduction in titanium dioxide. Akzo Nobel has that market cornered I'm told.
