Please can anyone help, my cooker/oven model 059050724 has green flashing lights on both the control dials. There was no manual when we moved in and I'm struggling to locate one on the Internet.

Can anyone advise what might be the issue? Stoves are closed for today and I don't know if we have a potentially leaking gas issue in the house at the moment. (I can't smell anything but the wife reckons she can)

The flashing lights on the timer are just because the powers been off and the clock needs resetting.

If you think there's the slightest smell of gas you must ring National Grid on 0800 111999 and they will come out and check free of charge.

If there is they will turn the meter off and cap it, until you get a plumber in to make the repair.

Agreed but best to make alternative heating arrangements first.

Thanks for the replies, The smell of gas doesn't seem to be there now.

The green lights are above the dials which switch on the oven (not the clock). Must be some sort of warning, perhaps pilot light related as we cannot switch on the oven.

No gas leak thankfully.

Called Stoves this morning, very helpful company. Engineer told me to switch off the oven at the electric mains, then power it back on. After resetting the clock (he sent me the manual via email) the oven is working again and the green flashing lights have gone out now.

Note, the oven will not work till the clock has been reset.
