Just got myself a couple of these (to get free postage, and as a spare):

Been looking for something like this and bingo...it comes up at the right time.

The bag looks ok, but it would have to loose the extension handle for pulling it

Yes, that and a shoulder carrying strap would be good.

I did think about getting rid of the wheels and handle. Going to see how it goes for the time being before butchering it.

I have always had tool boxes to be honest, but I think bags would be better, especially for powertools etc.

I started with a canti box..then changed it for another canti box. Swapped it for a hinged top box so I could open it in the van without having too much free space around it, and now, prompted by some discussion on here and pics of the £100+ tool bag from America with pockets for everything, I started looking into tool bags. The problem I was having was that tools were being duplicated and also lost. So having a pocket for everything should help keep the box/bag tidy.
