That is a clever bit of kit. The cutter is off centred. or there is some oscillation in the chuck so it gets the square cut....brilliant design. A few years from now Trend might have a cutter like that for the router to cut mortices.

Works like a spirograph i reckon, the head must be geared to turn seperate to the cutter.
Its clear to see at about 30-40 seconds in.



Clever bit o kit.
Saying that, one of two people I have worked with manage to do holes like that with normal twist drills :lol: :roll:
