Hi all, I am trying to spray Johnstones durable matt with a graco 390 classic without much success, the paint seems to split from the water used to thin the product for spraying, this happened last night after i had sprayed an entire room.....nightmare! Anyone had any experience spraying Dmatt? Dont have this problem with other Johnstones emulsions.

Maybe ring the technical advisory team? The number should be on the tin and ask their advice.

I'm no spray specialist, but.....

This sounds as though the pressure is to high, you need to use the lowest pressure you can get away with, tip size can make a huge difference also. There is a lot of trial and error when spraying (in my opinion). Rather than Johnstones, contact Graco who should be more than happy to let you know the right settings for the material.
