I purchased a garden ornament with solar power but unfortunately it does not work the supplier was totally unhelpful. Upon opening it up and looking at the battery compartment it has a standard AA NiMH battery but it looks like the negative wire has never been connected, I cannot not see where it should go as there is no solder on wire or signs anywhere where it was connected. I have pictures attached pheraps someone could point me in the right direction.

Cheers

Sadly your pictures are of no use as you can see what you are looking at, I can't.

Some more pictures taken slightly further away would help.

All I see is black wire, a blue wire a switch a pcb and? sitting on the right.

Oh, and are you aware that apart from recently, we don't get a lot of useful sunshine in the UK, which means your lights wont last that long at night.

Working on anything electrical? have you got a multi meter? why not? Would you hit a nail with a shoe?
