I had a bit of an 'incident' yesterday with some tar/bitumin paint!

The wall had been primed for a new flashband to be installed and that set no worries. The flashband however, had NO stick whatsoever once the backing paper was peeled off. Got a blowtorch and a gentle warming soon fixed that.

Came to do the paintable bitumin to fix the flat spots with little tears in and it was like solid treacle. A gentle flick of the flame on the OUTSIDE of the can soon got the juice flowing. When it cooled again, I was a little less carefull - WOOOOOOOOOOf, it went up in flames!! ::b

Had to run with a can of flaming tar down the ladder, off the roof and the only way I could think of putting it out was with the lid - cut off the air supply. put the lid in place, stamped in on - can burnt air off and imploded!!!

Had to chuck it in the skip after that. :tool:

A snake nicked your camera? Wowsers!

Everyone said me and brother in law should have filmed the renervation. Right from the start there would have been quality footage - we started with the full built in wardrobes by running into them!!!!!! I done a lot more damage than him, but I am twice the size!!

I don't always think things through fully.....(and I LOVE fire!!!!!)

We had about 4" here in Derby. Enough to stop the buses and taxis. Good job I wasn't going out last night. However, our mutt loves it. Was chucking snowballs for him last night around 10pm and again today. Main roads are now clear so hopefully get to work in the morning.

Some snow last night down here in the deep south.

Not enough to cause any problems, just enough to make the NF a bit prettier
