Clubs I used to belong to had resident semi-pros or pros and you could get one to one tuition with them.

used to belong to hatton Garden snooker club in London and they had the old Pot Black Table that Ray Reardon won on so many times. I came second in a tournament on that table................lost to my fecking dad lol.

Went to watch snooker the other week for the first time in years...............FEMALE referee!!!!!!!!!!! WTF is that all about. Just not right, had to turn it off.

Billiards was on the tv this evening so thought I would watch it................................no pockets to the table WTF. Obviously a less skilled version of billiards then. Had to turn that off too.

The table didn't have any pockets...................what sort of a billiards table is that FFS.

Might have well called it cannons, instead of billiards, as that is the only thing you can get a score for!

It was on one of the sports channels.

The table even had a funky blue coloured baize instead of green.

That will explain why during the 10 minutes I could bear to be bored by it that they came off cushions when they could have used cue control instead.

It's just a series of trick shots, and a panel gives you marks out of 10

Rubbish for want of a better word.

What do people think of Ronnie O'Sullivan's claims that he thinks he has underachieved as a player? I disagree and actually think that it is quite a disrespectful thing to say. Yes, on form he is absolutely class, a true entertainer and an unbelievable snooker player. The same could be said, however, for quite a number of other players of his generation.

I'm Welsh so of course I'm bias, but I would say that Mark Williams has more of a claim to say that he has underachieved after all of his early success.

I also believe that even O'Sullivan at his absolute best would have his work cut out against an on form John Higgins.

Just popped the telly on and there is Power Snooker on ITV4 - first time I have heard of it.

To me it looks like pool but on a snooker table
