I'm currently strapped up to a big Tens machine as I've got a bad back. If the typing goes funny it's due to the electric pulses. Has anyone got a little Tens machine, as advertised on tv? Are they any good?

Louise, My wife used to work in a NHS pain relief clinic and these were used a lot, apparently they are good.

I had one during child birth and that was good but we've got a big bulky one at the moment and the smaller ones don't look as hefty.

It worked, an excellent gadget. I've been pulsating all afternoon in a darkened corner and the sciatica has eased off.

Mooncat,
Does it have 4 pads? I never thought of Maplins, I saw a chemist shop ad for a small one on tv the other night.

Hitch,
Snap! That's what I did with my first baby and it worked really well at blocking out the pain.

Lou, I have just read these posts, and see you have got a 'tens' now, I have one that I never use.
I did use it originally, but didnt do anything for me.
If yours ever breaks down, you can always have mine.
