What is the correct procedure for a 2nd skim coat? How long should the first coat be left for ... before I have to PVA again. The plaster is multifinish.

PS. I might have 1 or 2 hollow areas to fill in a bit 1-2mm extra seems to be needed ... not interested in skimming for catching imperfections ... I can fix those.

You sohouldn't PVA between coats. Typically between 15 and 45 minutes between coats depending on temperature, humidity.
