I think we should hold a mastic gun amnesty.

Like shotguns, some people are incapable of using them sensibly. Restricted access only? Perhaps a competency test before you can use one...?

Decorating at the moment, seems previously atempts have been made to fill wall plug holes etc with flexible sealant smarmed over about a 4 inch radius of each hole :cussing:

Nah, i have done about half the living room so far :lol:
Slow process, move everything, rub down, fill. Move everything back.
Next day,move everything,under coat, more it all back...
Next day,move everything,top coat.....


Started the kitchen... well, bought the paint at least :lol:

I know how you feel Hitch, folk useing caulk to fill holes :angryfire: :angryfire: , impossible to rub down, try and get it smooth, it just comes out :angryfire: .

It's worse for me, I see it day in, day out ::b ::b

Hitch - unless you have that very rare commodity (an understanding wife) - you missed out something ....

Slow process, move everything, wife "says be careful", rub down, fill. wife says "look at the mess", Move everything back.
Next day,move everything,wife says "be careful", under coat, wife says "look at the dust", more it all back...
Next day,move everything,wife says "be careful", top coat.....

Could we do one for dirty great long nails too?. Everything in this bungalow got nailed within an inch of its life! We found one screw...I guess he lost his hammer that day! :lol:

Working on an exterior at the moment where some git has covered one of the door steps in clear silicon ::b :cussing: :angryfire:

I found some ppainted 'sticky back plastic' over some cracks in my walls. When I pulled it off the filler came with it. Doh :cussing: :cussing:
