Hi a couple of Qs on showertrays please.

What would you expect the weight of a "good" stone resin shower tray to be (1200x800 offset on one corner). I guess the thinner it will be the lighter it is.

Any recommendations for one of the gadgets (maker) that fit on the outlet to trap dirt etc. http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalo ... J4BEPMCMAQ

Do they all have "plastic" chrome cover or are there any with "metal" chrome cover?

Thanks

Weight would be a lot!!! Mine weighs enough....watch your pinkies when you lay it down.

In answer to the second question, somthing that I really wanted to know about myself due to the wifes bloody hair blocking the sink up - Get McAlpine.

I was going to uploads some pics, but it's not cleaned yet and I'm ashamed to put it up.

It looks exactly the same as the one you linked too, but the top bit pulls off, then there is a seperate trap thing that pulls out too.

Get a cheap one (my tray came with Wiquin or somthing) and you have to unscrew it each time you want to clean - not so great.

Ta. Weight not an issue ... I took it back for a better one ... 26Kg is what I can find as the weight for these things. It was so thin :? and a bad casting full of proper little holes :wtf: I hear of the things being bedded with silicone ... no chance.

The replacement toilet bowl though won ... I have done myself with it. But I saw today that it was unwell too so I took it back again. Managed to get it out of the car no problem, took it in, put it on the floor, and then for some reason I stayed on the floor making grunting noises. ::b

Toilet bowls 2 - 1 Injury.

Resin type of tray - no name, it was from a local merchant. Any packaging went AGES ago.

If I can stand on it without it cracking, then it's pretty much bomb proof - both of mine were sillycones fitted and have never had any trouble. This one was a pain though, as it had a mat on the bottom resin bonded and it was bumpy as hell.

Sand and cement....100% sure it's the best way (4:1 mix, I read - slightly damp).
