Hi have just been given a Stuart Turner Monsoon 3.0 bar twin shower pump. My existing pump has 15mm inlet and outlet but the Monsoon pump has 22mm. Was told that I need to replace all the 15mm pipewwork to and from the pump with 22mm as there would not be enough flow to activate the pump. Is the correct ? or can i just fit speedfit adaptors to connect to the inlet and outlet of the new pump

Thanks

Not really much point putting a 3bar pump on 15mm.

Which model are you getting.

Feed ins need to be 22mm, I would change both in and out.

Is it a negative or positive head pump

That's a nice pump. As Scruff says it needs to be plumbed in properly or it will die quite quickly.

22mm supplies to each side, cold direct off the cistern and hot best supplied via a cylinder flange. And make sure the stored water isnt over 55 degrees C

And you'll probably need 80-100 gallons of stored water depending on the recovery rate.

No they manufacture two types of pump, one works with pressure drop and the other with flow.
