I'm thinking of buying one of these, because I've got quite abit of concrete to drill in, but I'll also want one with rotary stop as it will be a big help. Laughing

It'll be used quite a bit in all the functions when I start using it, but not so much in the long run.

Now the best bit, as I don't have much cash I need to spend it wisely, not on something that break after 5 min's but I can't afford the best. Crying

Also I heard that rotary stop could bugger it up sooner rather than later, Sad so would I be better off with a reasonable sds drill, and then get a cheap one with rotary stop scratch

I hope it makes scents, if not bang your head a few times Bang Head then you should see it how I do Thumbright Laughing

If it's not going to get massive use in the longer term, I reckon you'd be OK with something at the cheaper end of the spectrum.

If you then manage to break it doing your project, it'll still be under warranty and you can get a replacement.

About the size for screws attaching wooden battens, if that makes scene, and maybe to fit 5mm pipes though the wall.

There was a Ryobi 2Kg SDS without rotostop going for about £40. And excellent drill for the money, I think they aremore like £50 now though. You cnt go wrong with that. Although you need to factor in the cost of SDS drill bits, unless you buy a SDS chuck adapter.

Aldi were doing one, with roto stop and chuck adaptor and SDS bits and SDS chisels for about £40.
I've done a fair bit of drilling and demolishing with it in the last 6 months and its still going strong.
It had a 3 year warranty!
