I have a triple bunk and giant double swing that I want to get rid of this summer. I wondered whether I'd get more money for them as scrap value than second hand on Ebay. I've no idea, any opinions welcome.

I've just priced the swing set that I have about £180 new, they're struggling to reach £50 on ebay. The bed came with crappy (feel every spring) mattresses so I will be selling just the frame. That was over £150, struggling to reach £20 too. My children refused to sleep on the top bunk from day one  , I wish they'd been honest before it was bought it'd have stayed in the shop.

I didn't look like that! Funny thing is that I have a pic of me at 5 on a swing.

The bed I would have thought the local freeby paper would get it sold

You probably wouldnt get £10 for that lot scrap.
Assuming its all steel, painted, plated, or galvanised.

For an odd bit of light rubbish like a bed frame, £100/ton id expect.

It's all heavy but it isn't that heavy, sadly. I'll try the local shop window and the Chad.
