Hello all!

My first posting so be nice!.. lol

58, live in Caterham, in Surrey.
IT Programme Manager now, formerly A/C company owner, installer, engineer, before that coded welder, above all doting dad and granddad with 7 grand-kids.
Over the past twenty years, completely remodeled, wired, plumbed, extended and painted house.
I have a woodworking workshop at the bottom of the garden where I bodge all sorts of things with my modest collection of tools.

Love working with wood (not MDF) asking stuff and doubtless will be asking mundane and stupid questions from time to time so will apologise now!... lol

Main kit:
2.5HP table saw (SIP)
10" Bandsaw
Morticer
Thickness
planer
pillar drill
3 x Routers (2x1/4 / 1x1/2")
Large collection of DeWalt battery tools
Chop and radial arm saws
and a load of other stuff

very much a novice but, have decided that for example, making wooden trinket or decorative storage boxes as gifts for people would be cool and have also made a number of tables and other 'stuff' for people and enjoy all aspects, including errors as you learn faster!

Think that's enough by way of the hello and hope this is what I'm supposed to do and that I haven't broken any rules with my first posting!

Look forward to involving myself... and no, that's not a euphemism!... lol

Alan.

Spent many a night in the Surrey Hounds if it's still there?

I think it's still there... that's 'down the valley', we don't talk to them down there!

Preferred The Tally Ho... before they knocked it (and the Clifton) down to build more homes in an already over subscribed area :angryfire:
