Whilst on a job a couple of weeks ago the plumber there charged all his batteries up, he had 9 batteries and then he reckons he saves on elec at home as he uses his radio, torch, strimmer, leaf blower plus others that have been charged by customers electricity!

what an idiot
he risks falling out with the customer over 10p worth of electricity which incidently is theft

the average charger uses around 85w
when it starts charging there will be no or little resistance so for the first half of charging your on an averaging of say 40 w the second half will be say 70w so the average off the 2 is 55w to charge a battery call it 60w thats 17 batteries per electric unit or less than 1p per battery

he must be the greatest plonker on the earth if he thinks all that risk and effort is worth the saving of 1 or 2 pounds a year maximum

And, here was me thinking this post was going to be about wind turbines,

Fair one though, bit of a plonker, It would get on my nerves if I was a customer and the tradesman started plugging all and sundry in to charge up.

I have come across this in a few jobs with tradesmen, and I think its a cheek, specially when they charge thier mobile in the customers house.
