The valve instructions say you can remove the head, which seems good as the problem is the micro switch has stuck on, temporary cure was to remove orange wire so not firing up the boiler, and during the Winter the central heating will run long enough to heat water and the valve is on the domestic water supply, since also solar panels likely even in Summer not too bad, but immersion heater was removed when solar panels were fitted so no back up, so before Spring I need to replace the head.

However the new valves with same part number are blue and look different, so can I just change the head, or will I need to change whole valve, and if I can change head, can I buy head without the valve?
