You wouldn't have thought it but there are some good deals to be got in Sainsbury's for lightbulbs.

I went to home base at the weekend. Bought a Philips 100W Energysaver lightbulb, £6. Exact same light bulb was £4.29 in sainsbury's

Also the G9 40W capsule is £1.50 per bulb in Sainburys £2.47 in Screwfix and £1.84 in toolstation, although I should compare brands. I see to remember Philips making a 1Y light bulb and a 2Y version

They had energy saving lamps in Argos, Blackburn.
