I tend to favour these for most tasks, nice and light, and fit well, even over normal glasses.
Having the side covered in make them far safer than normal cheapie type goggles.

Never had a problem with them nmisting up either which is excellent!

Double the price of cheapie goggles, but you can not put a price on your eyes.

i have also used these:

and found them excellent. I wear contact lenses so the tiniest bit of grit in my eye hurts like hell, i bought these to rip down a lath and plaster ceiling a few weeks ago and had no problems whatsoever. Nice and comfy too.[/url]

I wear contact lenses so I understand what you are saying. A teeny bit of dirt hurts so much!

I bought some cheap goggles the other day. I think it's around $4. I might get the Uvex Ultra Safety Goggles one day.

I'm an optician by training, but got fed up after 15 years of fitting specs and did something different. Anyone who doesn't wear safety specs when using tools is a bloody idiot. I am utterly horrified at how many workmen I see, especially using angle grinders and stone cutters, not wearing any eye protection and dust masks. Just don't get me onto chain saws (I'm a qualified chain saw user) and farmers.

Wearing safety specs while using tools..? That would depend for me, you see 'tools' is a general term.. but as for jobs that could endanger me, I myself would make sure that I got proper equipment.. I could not even bear to imagine seeing blood being spilled... For me, "Safety is lifetime security"..
