inthe wiring diagram for the honeywell s plan , in the bottom r/h corner it shows a boiler feed to the wiring centre with the live to no 10 with the pump live and two orange feeds from the valves. i dont have this feed because i have a 240v supply to a fused spur under my boiler with a supply to the w/c(l/h side of the honeywell plan) and a flex to the boiler, about 500mm above
what does the boiler feed do ,that the fused spur feed does,nt and where do i connect a cable to run from the boiler to the w/c in the airing cupboard to suit this honeywell plan

Best post a pic showing the wiring, along with the make/model of the boiler.

As you can see the orange wires are what controls the boiler and pump, only the pump connection is negotiable.

The drawing must also be read in conjunction with the boiler MI's.

hi mr scruff its a ideal classic ff 270 and on diynot mr hailsham has said remove the short flex to the boiler from the fused spur and replace it with a T&E from L=10, N=2, E=3 direct from w/c to the boiler.sorry for doubling up but it looked like no one was prepared to offer advice apart from D.H. and yourself. a couple of lads chipped in and did,nt really follow it up with much.
thank you for your time

Dave Halsham is probably the best you'll get, if you forget the rubbish from other posters.

That is correct what he says. You're replacing the L to the boiler with 10, the neutral to the boiler with 2, plus the earth wire. exactly as the diagram.

Dave posts on here as well, if you want to keep it in one place.

The main difference with UHM is we don't stand for all the arguments and bitching you get on other forums.

I've read your post on DiyNot, and must off the guys that have answered are sound. :thumbright:

In my opinion, I think UHM is easier to navigate.

We like the DIY disaster page, some is quite funny, and it gives posters a reminder to ask before they start.

agree with that. this morning looking a bit thin on the ground but am pleased with the response.the niggling on diynot is becoming tiresome. most of the time i look to try and learn a bit, dont need to post too often but it does,nt take much to start an argument on there

Problem with Diydoughnuts is that everyones so clever on there that the OP is ignored or given lots of really technical advice they don't need. If Agile posts something they abandon the question to attack him, he spends the rest of the day winding them up and so it goes on!

Mind you if you had seen the post a few months ago where one of the 'cleverest' ones was asking how to drain a system in a flat with no drainoffs you'd would have pi55ed yourself! We did didn't we Scruff

Oh and it'll get worse as the Screwfux mob desert to go there. They normally only make a couple of posts on here before the power crazed mods ban them

Credit where it's due Dave,
I said to Kevplum this morning, there's so many guys on DIYnot faking it, one wonders what the hell they're on, it's almost like a comedy script.

i read, in general discussion i think, that some posters create multiple i.d.s to thank themselves. this was 2 days ago
i have completed my wiring centre work and it is working as supposed to , i think.so im very grateful for your help
put the meter on it and got 240v where its supposed to , depending on whats on and so far no random firing, although i put a new cylinder stat on when it was all off
best of all i learned a little bit more, in the correct way :thumbright:

Well done. :thumbright:

It's all easy if you get the right instruction and can read a drawing, just don't tell a sparky that though  The biggest secret is knowing how it should or was intended to work before you start.
