These are on sale, in a huge carry case with a variety of bits & 2 of the smaller nicad (1.3Ah iirc) batts for £65. Cracking deal for someone looking for one for occasional DIY use, and cheaper than the bare drill if you already have batts.

DOH! Its at B&Q.
http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?a ... egories%3C{9772021}&fh_search=ryobi&fh_refview=search&ts=1294513096651&isSearch=false

I was guessing at the capacity, as it doesn't say it on the outside of the box, suspect they're the lower capacity ones.

Comes in a good sized box (a lot larger than a standard carry case) which appears to have storage for the accessories (an assortment of HSS, Wood & screwdriver bits)

This thread is a massive fail, its that drill definitely, but there were two batteries in the box.

Maybe an instore only item, they had tonnes in mine (bolton) so if I nip back in tomorrow (forgot to get the bit of guttering I needed anyway) I'll make a note of the model.

its fully the fault off the b&q web site giving so little detail which incidentally makes it difficult to compare like for like

Got one.

The batteries are 1.3Ah both drill and battery are marked imported for b&& q so probably only available in this case.

Driver specs match the 2 speed combi on ryobi website, but with a rotary hammer switch behind the chuck rather than a switchy one on the body.

Still a decent buy i reckon, but only really for the driver.

Just for the record, this was crap, charger was a very basic timer one (wall wart and a crap plastic caddy), and despite the case it comes in being huge, it doesn't actually fit in it with the battery installed.

Took it back and ordered one of these:
http://www.ryobi-direct.com/acatalog/Sp ... ill__.html

Batteries are better than the b&q ones, (I suspect they're actually the same kind of runtimes as the 1.7ah, 1.5ah nicd sub Cs are more reliable anyway).

Got me a vac to match (or not cos thats green) for 16 quid from ebay too.

Anyone know anywhere selling any other blue stuff off cheap?

aaah, but, the cheap ones out of stock, and the expensive one is going on for 3* the price!

Charge times not really a huge deal for me as its only for occasional use (it'de be very rare I'm at something solidly for 2 hours straight, I usually balls something up and need to spend an hour fixing it!) If I'm desperate I can always stick them on my proper hobby charger and do it in about 15 minutes, just easier to use the nice caddy ones.

Plan is to persuade my dad to get me an impact driver in return for helping him build his shed, that way I should end up with 4 batts (2lion 2 nicad), a one hour and a 3 hour charger.

To be honest if an amazing deal comes up I can probably stick this one on ebay and make 90% of the money back, if not a small profit.

true, and if I had £160 to drop on it then I'd get one, unfortunately I'm on a timescale as my dewalt has developed a wobbly chuck and gone back. If thats still there on payday it will be very hard to resist.
