Is it me, or do Ryanair make it so difficult to print boarding passes so that customers get them to print them for which they make a charge? I have to fly on Monday from Bristol, I have the account, have paid for the tickets, but can't see about passes.

may be irrelevant but their website says you can do a mobile boarding pass:

 That was helpful...

@ Mooncat, I've never flown with ryanair but we had some friends over from Denmark a couple of months ago, they could only print out the boarding passes 24 hours before the flight.. not sure it was Ryanair might have been one of the other low budget airlines..

Luckily I'd got my printer working a few days before they arrived...

I don't use a smartphone, so that may be irrelevant. Thanks for trying.

err...

6.2 All passengers are required to check-in online via https://www.ryanair.com/ and print or download a boarding pass except Business Plus fares which include free airport check-in (for more information on the use of mobile boarding passes click here),
Online check-in opens 30 days before each scheduled flight departure time for customers who purchase an allocated seat. Customers can be allocated a seat free of charge if they check-in online between 7 days and 2 hours before each booked flight.

Once a passenger has checked in online they can reprint or download their boarding pass up to two (2) hours before each scheduled flight departure time. Each Boarding Pass must be printed and presented on an individual A4 page or accessed via the Ryanair app .Customers who fail to check-in online within the above deadlines (except Business Plus customers) will be charged an Airport Check-In fee at the rate set out in our Consolidated Table of Fees. Customers who do not present a boarding pass at the airport (paper or mobile) will be charged a Boarding Pass Re-Issue fee at rate set out in our Consolidated Table of Fees

:? :wtf:

Perhaps next time I'll go up to St Pancras, and go by train to Limoges. :? Or bribe somebody with a car.

It's easy. Go to Ryan air, check in online (you have done that? 30 days before flights is possible), print passes.

It's about the most obvious bit of their site once you get past all their additions and "offers"

BG

Edit...checked.

Go to Ryan air, click "manage booking" and this is the first bit you see. Assuming you have checked in.....

Then click print.....

Thanks. I told them I didn't want a car, but still get the offers. As soon as I get back tonight I'll try again.

Phew, done it. The problem was my eyes, they don't work very well.
Now for the packing.

Don't forget, you have to "check in" 7 days before your flight. When we went to Spain earlier this year, I knew there was no way to print off the boarding passes out there, so couldn't "check in" and print the passes off for the return flight.. BUT,,,, pay them extra money and you get the "check in 30 days before your flight" option. Money making scam masters.. Ooh and beware if you download their "App" in the terms and conditions it tells you what the app wants to access on your smartphone.. I might be a bit paranoid, but why do Ryan Air need to access my contacts, my phone's camera or microphone? (and why might it want to send text messages or calls from it too? )

I've not used the app, I tend to avoid them for practical reasons.

Most of the time, they stupidly need an active data connection when you are least likely to have one. Your phone ALWAYS goes flat just before you need it (or you really have to be on top of it if watching films/music).

Finally, you need an app for each and every bloody airline, plus registration, alerts, updates, etc (Not so much now, but I used to fly a LOT each month).
