as always any help greatly appreciated.
doing some work on my hallway, and wanting to add a double socket while i still have my stud wall open on one side, i don't want to connect the socket until i have my cu replaced once i start my loft early next year..... so for now just want the back box and cable before i close up the walls and get skimmed...... my cu is going to be right next to where my stud wall is now, so the easiest way would be to run 2.5mm t and e from proposed socket to where new cu is going and wire it straight into it when its fitted( i think) am i somewhere near?
thanks again

if the socket is going to be right next to the CU then yes, by all means run 2 cables to the socket that will go directly into the back of the cu. 2 means you can split the ring and extend it, why spur it when you can do it so easily 100%.

Had it been a concrete floor then I might have gone horizontally. It's not something I would often do
