|

I know nothing about router tables so bear with me. I bought my oh a big Bosch router several years ago and wondered about getting a table for it. I know that routers vary but wondered whether router tables are universal fitting for different types of routers. What do you look for when you buy one and what sort of price is a modest one suitable for diy use. I assume that the base plate of a router is a standard size. _________________ Never be afraid to ask, that's how we learn. |

Some of the bases vary, no idea what the holes on a bosch are.
A lot of the tables have universal fittments, in the way of clamps, or numerous predrilled holes.
Whichever you buy, i wouldnt think fitting will be a problem.
Mine is a wolfcraft one, which has holes that pickup on the 2 m6 holes in the router base. Id like to think thats slightly better as theres nowhere for the base to move.
Theres a fair few cheap tables about, such as nutool, charnwood etc.
The one i have is a bit bulky when the table extensions are on, but to be honest, its fine withou them.
Ease of fence adjustment, and fine adjustment is deffinatly something to look at. _________________ Why isn't the number 11 pronounced onety one? |

Hitch,
Thanks for that. I assume that Machine Mart sells them. I've not looked anywhere yet just thought I'd ask for advice from those who know first. _________________ Never be afraid to ask, that's how we learn. |

yes i got that email
the trouble is if you add the first 4 items on the additionals list [to make it safe and look like the picture] its another £90
i have the wolf craft 1000 but am proggressing to make my own as the 1000 is a compromise machine as it can accept circular and jig saws and hold any drill with a euro collar at 43mm[or whatever it is]
the old version of this

Not as much as you
Top of my head, it would probably be 8% max? I have put in offers and when rejected went up a little and then a little more until they give in _________________ If you have a son, DO NOT name him after a verb ....

i suppose if you add in the £7.50 postage its probably around 8to 13%
although best discount was i emailed and asked "can you do a fan and 2 batteries and a bag for"----- however much it was it was somthing like £70 including postage _________________ we are all ------------------still learning |

It's his birthday soon, so I like to get him tools that he'd use rather than trash from the shops. I usually buy woodworking books and research the tool that I'm interested in but thought it'd be quicker to ask you all this time. _________________ Never be afraid to ask, that's how we learn. |
