It is with deep regret that I have to announce the death of a much respected forum member. Stoday sadly passed away on the 21st October 2011. Our thoughts and good wishes go out to his family and friends.

Stoday has been a very long serving member of the forum and will be dearly missed. Several of the forum members including myself have met Stoday over the years and he was a very polite and intelligent man.

He had not been well for the last few years and often made light hearted comments about his health which can be seen in his signature" I should be dead; I've cheated the Grim Reaper yet again by surviving my third heart attack in June."

I am sure that he will be missed by several forums!

Rest In Peace Stoday

helped me with some things i hadn't seen before because i wasn't old enough and always made me laugh seeing people miss his sarcasm.

helped so many people with his knowledge and was a master at a witty response.

I used to look forward to seeing his name responding to other peoples posts - and dread it appearing under mine!

He won the chess game several times before the reaper took him, very few are clever enough to do that.

RIP

A sad loss to everyone.

A real character, and a very wise man.

RIP Stods.

I am relatively new here and did not know Stoday well but have looked through his posts and seen what a great help and contributor to the forums he was,I always find it sad when an old tradesman passes away as so much knowledge is lost but through his past posts, his humour and knowledge will live on
My condolences to hid family and friends
RIP Stoday

This is very late, but hearing this bad news from a couple of months back has rocked me a little, I like Tom knew him from the Screwflux forum & I always loved reading his posts, what a shame he'll be sadly missed.
RIP Stoday.
