I only just found out that Paul Newman died aged 83 after losing his battle with cancer. How sad, a good innings though.

I always thought of him as one of those un-assuming characters who did good deeds for charity and didn't take himself seriously. Now I can't stop humming "raindrops keep falling on my head"!

It always puzzled me why he got into the likes of salad dressings, then gave all the profits to charity. Actually, who cares really, truly a top man for doing that and also a great actor as well and also a reasonably good racing drive come team owner :thumbright:

I must admit that I never knew about his food business that gave the profits to charity until after he died. He seemed like a really nice, down to earth guy.

:laughing3: :sign5: Didn't Paul Newman have the most twinkly blue eyes though?
