Condolences to Dave's family.
We got on well both being ex matelots, he being Stoker (engineering) Branch, me a Greenie.

Our paths crossed in the '60's in Singapore, but don't recall meeting him.

His knowledge will be missed.

RIP old shipmate.

John

Sorry to hear the news, he was a great asset to the forum both in his posts and behind the scenes. Will miss his neat and accurate responses to problems - not to mention his jokes.

Best wishes to family & friends

It's a strange thing to feel pain for the loss of someone you never physically met but felt you knew quite well but that's the internet for you.

If God's not a Yorkshireman he's going to have some explaining to do when our lad gets there!

Sithee Dave, we never did get to have that beer. next time eh?

RIP

Tracy and Susan have asked me to pass on their appreciation for the above post.

I hope tomorrow goes as well as can be expected for a funeral.

RIP Dave.

Very sad news. I always got the impression things were quite stable for him these days.

How wrong one can be, especially with one so positive as Dave.

Condolences to all his family and friends.
