I own a ground floor flat in an old Grade II listed stone building:

Both ground floor flats have a long history of issues with high humidity / condensation. I had a Envirovent Heatsava installed in the lounge. I'm unable to install one in the bedroom because of the noise. I'm also having the bathroom fan upgraded to a more powerful trickle model e.g. Envirovent Cyclone 7.

I was just wondering if replacing the black grates over the 3 to 4 cellar windows replaced with air bricks would help:

The cellar is permanently damp and I’m certain this the cause of the problem. I assume that sealing the cellar windows would exacerbate the problem.

Many thanks!
